NRS 11.207  Malpractice actions against attorneys and veterinarians. 1. NRS 41A.097  Limitation of actions; tolling of limitation. ... 3. Except as otherwise provided in subsection 4, an action for injury or death against a provider of health care may not be commenced more than 3 years after the date of injury or 2 years after the plaintiff discovers or through the use of reasonable diligence should have discovered the injury, whichever occurs first, for: (a) Injury to or the wrongful death of a person occurring on or after October 1, 2023, based upon alleged professional negligence of the provider of health care.

NRS 104.2725  Statute of limitations in contracts for sale. 1. An action for breach of any contract for sale must be commenced within 4 years after the cause of action has accrued. By the original agreement the parties may reduce the period of limitation to not less than 1 year but may not extend it. 2. A cause of action accrues when the breach occurs, regardless of the aggrieved party's lack of knowledge of the breach. A breach of warranty occurs when tender of delivery is made, except that where a warranty explicitly extends to future performance of the goods and discovery of the breach must await the time of such performance the cause of action accrues when the breach is or should have been discovered.

An action to recover damages for an injury to a person arising from the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of the plaintiff which occurred when the plaintiff was less than 18 years of age may be commenced against the alleged perpetrator or person convicted of the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of the plaintiff at any time after the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation occurred.

3. If a court has issued an order for the support of a child, there is no limitation on the time in which an action may be commenced to: (a) Collect arrearages in the amount of that support; or (b) Seek reimbursement of money paid as public assistance for that child.

No action may be commenced against the owner, occupier or any person performing or furnishing the design, planning, supervision or observation of construction, or the construction of an improvement to real property more than 10 years after the substantial completion of such an improvement, for the recovery of damages for: (a) any deficiency in the design, planning, supervision or observation of construction or the construction of such an improvement; (b) injury to real or personal property caused by any such deficiency; or (c) injury to or the wrongful death of a person caused by any such deficiency.

If the injured party is a minor or mentally incapacitated, the limitations period is extended.

Under NRS 11.190(4)(e), an action to recover damages for injuries to a person or for the death of a person caused by the wrongful act or neglect of another must be commenced within 2 years. Carve-outs in NRS 11.215 (medical malpractice) and 11.217 (childhood sexual abuse) apply separately. The 2-year provision applies to causes of action accruing after March 20, 1951.

Statute of limitations for slander in US-NV is 2 years under NRS 11.190.

Statute of limitations for construction defects in US-NV is 10 years under Nev. Rev. Stat. § 11.202.

Nevada's statute of limitations for construction defect claims is 10 years after substantial completion of the improvement under NRS 11.202(1). A fraud exception under subsection 2 allows actions to be commenced at any time after substantial completion for fraud-related deficiencies.

Nevada Revised Statutes § 608.260 sets a 2-year statute of limitations for civil actions by employees against employers for failure to pay minimum wages or other required compensation. The employee may bring a civil action at any time within 2 years of the employer's failure. A contract between employer and employee or acceptance of lesser wages does not bar the action.

Section 1983 borrows the forum state's general personal-injury SOL. Nevada's general personal-injury limitations period is 2 years under NRS 11.190(4)(e), so a Nevada Section 1983 claim must be filed within 2 years of accrual.

When a Nevada court has issued a child support order, there is no statute of limitations on commencing an action to collect arrearages of that support.

Statute of limitations for legal malpractice in US-NV is the EARLIER of: (a) 4 years from the date plaintiff sustains damage, or (b) 2 years from discovery (or constructive discovery via reasonable diligence). Under NRS 11.207(1). In the typical case where damage and discovery are contemporaneous, the 2-year branch controls. Tolling applies for periods of attorney concealment.
